These are completely long-lasting materials. Many sustainable clothing manufacturers are looking to reduce the amount of waste generated during production. Healthy Working Environment: In the modern day, many numbers of fast fashion companies are manufacturing cheap clothes with launching more collections. Workers have also been in production in poor safety conditions. Workers also have constant pressure to manufacture products in the environment. Sustainable clothing companies can easily prioritize a safe and healthy working environment. Saves Natural Resources: Based on a study, 12% of the material used for clothing ends up in the recycled process. 3% of recycled materials are used for the production. These could also add the annual resource input to more than 98 million tons. Most of them are based on oil for producing synthetic fibers, the endless list of chemicals for dye, fertilizers for growing cotton, and more. Using recycled fibers is the best option for getting the sustainable option. These would be automatically reducing the pressure on the resources. Sustainable clothing manufacturing is the superior option for reducing the growing problems in waste management. Decreases The Greenhouse Gas Emissions: Normally, the sustainable clothing is made from biodegradable components. These include natural or even recycled fibers. So, these materials would be growing even without fertilizers or pesticides. These also consume less amount of energy and do not use any chemical treatments. So, it automatically reduces the carbon footprint of brands. Requires Less Water: Water is the most important major resource for the fashion industry. These are used in the dyeing and finishing process for the clothes. For instance, a single T-shirt takes 2,700 liters of water during production overall. Cotton is highly dependent on water, but they are grown in hot and dry areas. Sustainable organic cotton reduces water consumption by more than 91% compared to conventional cotton.

The Green Revolution: Why Bamboo Cloth is Best for the Environment

on Sep 03 2023
In world today, sustainable choices are gaining popularity across all industries. Fashion which remains the forefront of visible, bamboo clothing is emerging as one such remarkable choice, gaining attention as a more environmentally friendly alternative to traditional fabrics. Increased demand of bamboo clothing manufacturers in India and bamboo fabric manufacturers worldwide, the green sustainability revolution is taking the fashion and lifestyle industry by storm specially for categories like baby, kids, skin sensitive people and elderly. Let’s look the various qualities which make Bamboo fabric number one choice for sustainable clothes manufactures, bamboo clothing suppliers and international buyers. 1. Bamboo's Rapid Growth:Bamboo is known for its extensively rapid growth and minimal natural resource requirements. Traditional textiles often rely on resource-intensive crops like cotton and jute whereas some species of bamboo can grow up to three feet in a single day, making it a highly renewable resource. This quick regrowth ensures that bamboo can be harvested more frequently – providing farmers a sustaining source of income and still meeting up with increasing consumer demand without causing extensive damage to the environment. 2. Minimal Water Usage: Bamboo requires significantly less water to thrive and grow in comparison to traditional textiles like cotton and jute. To calculate the water consumption by protein-based fabrics is very difficult but one can assume how high it can be. Bamboo’s ability to grow without the need for traditional irrigation or pesticides reduces the strain on local water resources and minimizes water and soil pollution. 3. Natural Pest Resistance: Bamboo plant has a natural resistance to pests, eliminating the need for chemical pesticides or sprays. This property keeps the soil healthy, naturally fertile and prevents ecological pollution. This natural resilience aligns perfectly with the principles of sustainable and eco-friendly production of the new age fibre. 4. No Chemical Fertilizers: This plant thrives in various environmental conditions without the need for huge amount of water and chemical fertilizers. Unlike other crops that often deplete the soil of essential nutrients and add chemicals to it for its growth, bamboo actually enriches the soil it grows in and hence is supported by the farmer community too. This enriching effect further reduces the need for chemical additives, promoting healthier agricultural practices. Bamboo can add up to 6-8 inches of humus to the soil every year while a single Bamboo plant can bind up to 6 CUM of soil. Besides, most Bamboo species form an evergreen canopy, shedding leaves all year round and this too contributes to improving soil health. 5. Reduced Carbon Footprint: Bamboo has the incredible ability to absorb more carbon dioxide from the atmosphere compared to many other plants and especially the ones contributing to the fashion industry. As bamboo clothing gains popularity, its production contributes to carbon sequestration, helping to reduce the overall carbon footprint of the fashion industry. Integrated with technological advancement in Knitting and 3D printing the carbon footprint can be reduced even more in long run. R&D are in process inviting young minds and innovators to grace the global stage. 6. Biodegradability and Closed-Loop Production: One of the most compelling reasons why bamboo cloth is best for the environment is its biodegradability i.e., its ability to completely decompose in the soil without leaving harmful residues. Additionally, bamboo fibre/fabric production can be part of a closed-loop system, where almost every part of the plant is utilized into one or more products, leaving minimal waste. The chemicals used in the process are also reused, minimalizing the disposal and the harm it causes. 7. Versatility: Bamboo fabrics are versatile because of their inherited properties like Anti – odour, Anti-Microbial, Soft Hand feel, can be knitted or woven, an be made in multiple GSMs, has great drapability, is breathable, has great absorbability, and insulation, making it perfect for multiple seasons, styles, and clothing categories. Conclusion: The surge in bamboo clothing manufacturers in India and bamboo fabric manufacturers globally signifies an upcoming shift towards increasingly environmentally conscious fashion consumers. The unique characteristics of bamboo which includes rapid growth, minimal water usage, natural pest resistance, saves pollution and biodegradability, make it the ideal choice for eco-friendly clothing. By choosing bamboo cloth, you play an active role in preserving the planet for future generations.

The Journey of Organic Clothes: From Farm to Fashion with Indian Manufacturers

on Sep 02 2023
The fashion industry is witnessing a remarkable shift towards eco-friendly alternatives with increasing awareness in the world. The rise of organic clothing has gained popularity, especially in the realm of baby clothes which offers comfort and style and also a conscious approach to manufacturing and supply chain. In this blog, we will explore the journey of organic baby clothes, about how they travel from farms to fashion houses and your shelves, shedding light on Indian manufacturers. Understanding Organic Baby Clothes: Organic baby clothes refer to the clothes made from natural fibres that are grown without the use of synthetic pesticides, GMOs, or synthetic fertilizers. These clothes are gentle on a baby's delicate skin and contribute to overall reduction in the environmental impact of the fashion industry. With growing awareness amongst parents about the harmful effects chemicals present in conventional fast fashion clothing today, they are turning towards ecological options for their kids. The Journey Begins at the Farm: The process of getting organic baby clothes to your shelves starts at the source – the non-pesticide organic farms. Organic cotton, for instance, is cultivated using sustainable agricultural practices also known are zero waste farms. Farmers use natural old school methods like crop rotation, composting, and the introduction of beneficial insects to maintain soil fertility, pH and control pests. These practices ensure that the cotton is not only of high quality but also free from harmful chemicals. This is an example, but other plant-based fibres that use no chemical methods also count in for organic. Plant based fibre alternatives are preferred which are perennial, are easy to grow without pesticides, and have shorter harvesting period like bamboo. Harvesting and Processing: Once the organic fibre, in our example cotton is ready for harvest, it is carefully handpicked to prevent damage to the fibres. Unlike conventional cotton fibre/fabric, which undergoes harsh chemical treatments (sometimes even unregulated) during processing. Techniques like Natural dyeing, Eco print, Ayurvastra, Sun print etc are also gaining popularity as dyeing is one of the most intensive toxin consuming step of the production process. Organic cotton or any other natural organic fibre for that matter is cleaned using natural methods. This ensures that the fabric retains its ecological properties, softness and natural characteristics. Manufacturing and Production: This is where our Indian manufacturers come to an important play in today’s world map. India has had a history and tradition of textile production, and many manufacturers with increase in demand have embraced the organic clothing movement and are bearing the flag. These manufacturers have found sources of organic materials and ensure that the entire production process adheres to ethical organic standards. From farm to spinning, weaving, dyeing to cutting and stitching, every step is carried out with skill, precision and care to maintain the norms of the organic fabric. Design and Styling: Organic baby clothes are not just about sustainability. Their design is to supposed to add to its natural properties’ representative of style and comfort. Indian manufacturers stay on their toes with global trends and often collaborate with designers, from different ethnicities and experiences to create a wide range of required innovative designs that cater to the preferences of your clients or targeted customers. Quality Assurance: Before reaching the market, baby clothes undergo stringent quality checks depending upon the set of safety rules in different geographies and demographics. Indian Organic Baby Clothing Manufacturers ensure that the clothes are not only free from harmful chemicals but also are designed to keep in mind baby hazards and accidents like swallowing buttons, legs of hands being stuck in folds or silhouettes, zipper directly touching the skin and causing friction etc. Durability is another factor taken into consideration to withstand the rigors of babyhood. This commitment to quality and details builds trust amongst buyers and consumers, contributing to the growing popularity of organic baby clothes or sustainable approach in total. Promoting Ethical Practices: Apart from promoting organic farming and fair prices to the manpower included in farming processes, Indian manufacturers also prioritize ethical working conditions and fair wages for their artisans and employees. This contributes to a holistic approach to the entire supply chain and production process which is an essential assembly of supply chain. Packaging & Transportation: The Indian Organic Baby Clothing Manufactures are learning to embrace sustainable packaging and warehousing updates to minimize the environmental impact. From biodegradable materials for packaging to energy-efficient sampling and warehousing systems, the sector is making conscious updates towards responsible practices. These changes reflect a commitment to both style, technology and sustainability in market. From Farm to Fashion: A Green Transformation: With consumers becoming more conscious of their choices and its impact, Indian sustainable clothing manufacturers are responding by embracing eco-friendly practices and innovation. The combination of culturally sustainable traditional craftsmanship, modern design approach which appreciates functionality and utility in addition to aesthetics, and research and development in sustainable materials is reshaping the way we think about clothing and lifestyle industry. In conclusion, organic baby clothes are more than a global trend; it is a philosophy of mindful consumption and responsible processing and decomposing. The journey from farms to fashion in your wardrobe showcases the dedication of Indian manufacturers towards creating a greener and more sustainable future. So, the next time you dress your little one in cozy organic clothes, remember the remarkable journey that it went to before reaching your hands and value it!

How Upcycling and Recycling Drive Innovation in Sustainable Fashion Introduction

on Aug 24 2023
Due to growing environmental concerns in recent years, the fashion industry has undergone a transformative shift towards sustainability and is continuing to stay on the same track in the foreseeable future. Sustainable clothing manufacturers and sustainable fabric manufacturers are at the forefront of this change, revolutionizing the way we view and consume fashion. Apart from them, passionate sustainable designs firms use innovation to come up with new ways to create minimum environmental impact. One of the most impactful approaches they're adopting is upcycling and recycling contributing to environmental preservation. The Rise of Sustainable Fashion The fast and cheap fashion industry has long been associated with environmental degradation, overconsumption, excessive waste, and unethical labor practices. However, sustainable clothing manufacturers, sustainable design house and sustainable fabric manufacturers are rewriting this narrative by introducing eco-friendly practices and ethical production processes. 1. Upcycling: Turning Waste into Fashion TreasuresUpcycling involves creatively repurposing leftovers into new and valuable products. In the context of sustainable fashion, upcycling generally transforms old garments, textiles, and other materials into unique, stylish pieces. This approach significantly reduces the demand for new resources and minimizes waste going to landfill.Sustainable clothing manufacturers are leading the charge by incorporating upcycled elements into their designs. For instance, we at Miho use leftover yarns from swatches and production which otherwise can’t be used in mainstream garment production to handknit cute hair accessories and toys. Not only does this reduce the need for virgin new materials, but it also adds an element of exclusivity and individuality to each piece, catering to the ever-growing demand for personalization. 2. Recycling: Closing the Loop in FashionRecycling is a fundamental of sustainability and has gained acceleration in the fashion concepts. This process involves breaking down used textiles and materials into their raw components, like fibers -which can then be used to create new fabrics, yarns or products. Sustainable fabric manufacturers are crucial in this cycle, as they innovate to develop recycled materials that are as durable and versatile as their conventional counterparts.Recycling can also be achieved through multiple ways, and its complete sustainability is subjective. A lot of recycling processes includes uses of chemicals which can be toxic. For example, recycled polyester does reduce plastic bottle waste but ends up releasing a lot of microplastics in marines. Recycled cotton on the other hand, is a mechanical process. The fibers are re-spun into yarns and then fabrics. At Miho, we use recycled cotton fabric for home accessories like our Mustard Seed Cushions. Another approach we are looking at is recycling the stalk of cotton plant which otherwise goes to waste into fabric called Cotton Bemberg (trade name) which looks and feels like silk. We are on the process of producing a collection with it. Additionally, recycling minimizes the environmental impact of fabric production, creating a closed loop system that aligns with the principles of a circular system. Driving Innovation through Upcycling and Recycling The combination of upcycling, recycling, and sustainable fashion has sparked remarkable innovations that are reshaping the industry: Technological Advancements: Sustainable clothing manufacturers are looking at use of cutting-edge technologies like fully fashioned garments, 3D printing and digital design softwares. This pushes sustainability by minimizing waste to almost zero. Collaborations and Community Engagement: Fashion brands, sustainable fabric manufacturers, and local artists’ communities are joining hands to collect, sort, and repurpose materials. These collaborations not only embrace a sense of shared responsibility, giving back to the society but also encourage consumers to actively participate in reducing fashion waste in total. Education and Awareness: The rise of upcycling and recycling in fashion has led to greater awareness about the environmental impact of consumer clothing overconsumption. As a result, consumers are becoming more conscious and aware of their buying choices, favoring brands that work on sustainability and circular practices. Conclusion Sustainable clothing manufacturers, sustainable design firms and sustainable fabric manufacturers with new innovative fashion brands are pioneering the path toward a more environmentally conscious industry. Through upcycling and recycling, we are not only reducing waste and conserving resources but also inspiring innovation, research and development in design, materials, and production processes. As consumers are increasingly demanding ethical and sustainable fashion, the collaboration between these sustainable fabric and clothing manufacturers and the embracing of upcycling and recycling will undoubtedly continue to drive positive change in the world of fashion for its value and individuality. By supporting these practices, we will all play a role in shaping a more sustainable individualistic, personality-driven future.

Understanding Ayurveda and Energy Ayurveda involves the concept of doshas as the three fundamental life energies that govern our physical and mental constitution and state. These doshas, known as Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, are derived from the combination of five core life elements (earth, water, fire, air, and ether) and govern various functions within and around our body. Each individual has a unique combination of these doshas, and maintaining their balance is core principle for optimal health and energy. The Influence of Clothing can have Clothing is seen as our second skin and is believed to play a significant role in influencing regulation of our doshas, according to Ayurveda. Wearing the right type of clothing for your body can help regulate the imbalances and enhance energy flow. Here's how you can balance your energy or chakras with Ayurvedic clothing: Choose Natural Fabrics: Understand the importance of natural fibers like cotton, silk, and wool. These materials allow the skin to breath naturally, are great at absorption and hence prevent overheating or over sweating. They also help maintain a stable body temperature which indirectly stabilises metabolism. Synthetic fabrics, on the other hand, can trap heat and moisture, forming a breeding ground for bad microorganisms disrupting the body's natural balance of both temperature and pH. Colors and Doshas: Colors have a profound impact on our energy and mood hence we have concepts like Colour Therapy and Theory in place.  According to Ayurveda, specific colors can be associated with each dosha – earthy for Vata, cool for Pitta, while warm are recommended for Kapha. Loose-fitted and comfortable attire that allows for free flow of energy and body fluids preventing constriction of any kind are recommended in accordance to ayurveda. A lot of monks are seen wearing a few drapes at most. This is a especial recommendation for Vata-dominant individuals who are prone to cold and stiffness. Seasonal Adaptation: Ayurveda also recognizes the affect of seasons and geography on our dosha balance. For instance, in colder months, layering with warm fabrics in earthy warm tones can help pacify Vata. In warmer months, breathable materials and calming colors can alleviate Pitta imbalances. Mindful Adornment or Accessorising: Adorning and accessorising yourself mindfully with practitioners’ recommendation, can also influence your everyday energy and goal. Ayurveda suggests wearing natural gemstones, seeds, metals, and fabrics that have some resonance with your dosha. For instance, wearing a cooling moonstone can pacify Pitta, while a grounding tiger's eye can balance Kapha. Fresh water pearls are recommended for aggressive people with super fast lifestyles as it brings calmness to one’s mind. Energy Cleansing: Just as we cleanse our bodies, our clothing also needs energetic cleansing. Modern ways of washing clothes and drying in machines, in complete closed loop derives them to freshness in long run. Sunlight, moonlight, exposure to sound vibrations like chants and other natural elements can help clear any residual of negative energy from your garments and body. Sunlight also kills bacteria. Moonlight provides calming warmth. Do give it a try and see for yourself.   In conclusion, the practice of Ayurvedic clothing also known as Ayurvastra is a holistic approach to enhancing your everyday energy and well-being by simply sliding Ayurveda into your everyday essential textiles. By consciously choosing clothing that aligns with your dosha, body type, current lifestyle and lifestyle goals you can achieve a balance between your inner and outer worlds with simple transitions. As a result, bamboo clothing has emerged as a popular choice due to its multiple and multilayered ecological benefits. Here is a brief about its advantages and scope in the hopefully greener future. The Environmental Advantages of Bamboo Clothing 1. Bamboo is one of the few fastest-growing plants on the planet. It regenerates quickly without the need for replanting, which makes it a highly renewable resource. Bamboo requires minimal water and no harmful chemicals to thrive and yield good. 2. The production of bamboo fabric involves a closed-loop process, which means the chemicals used in the process are recycled ensuring they are not dumped into the nature and hence, do not harm the environment. Additionally, bamboo plantations release more oxygen into the atmosphere and absorb higher amounts of carbon dioxide helping combat global warming. 3. Synthetic fabrics like polyester can take hundreds of years to decompose, contributing to the ever-growing problem of textile waste and humongous landfills and marine pollution. Bamboo clothing is natural, cellulosic, biodegradable and can be composted, reducing the burden on landfills and helping to maintain a cleaner healthier ecosystem. Bamboo Fabric Clothing Manufacturers The rise in demand for eco-friendly clothing has led to the emergence of various bamboo fabric clothing manufacturers. These companies play a crucial role in promoting environmentally conscious yet trend worthy fashion and styles. They are also prioritizing fair labor practices and use eco-friendly dyes to reduce their carbon footprint. We at Miho ensure that most of the work is done by hands reducing carbon footprint created by machines and our dyes are botanical, which results in no waste as the dry waste is turned to manure and the wet by product is actually used to irrigate the farm. Apart from dedicated bamboo fabric clothing manufacturers, several mainstream clothing brands have also incorporated bamboo clothing into their “green” collections, extending their audience. These brands have recognized the growing demand for sustainable products and aim to offer more environmentally friendly options.Today, choosing bamboo clothing is a looked upon step towards promoting a greener and more sustainable future. With its numerous environmental advantages, bamboo fabric is rapidly gaining popularity as healthy, easy to maintain, fast paced and stylish alternative to traditional fabrics. By supporting bamboo fabric clothing manufacturers and bamboo clothing manufacturers, we can collectively contribute to reducing the fashion industry's ecological footprint and improve our planet’s health. Together, we can pave the way for a more sustainable and responsible fashion industry – a more responsible generation.

Unveiling the Hidden Harmony: Exploring the Profound Relationship Between Colors and Ayurveda

on Jul 11 2023
1
Colours are natural sources of energy and vibration – and have tremendous power to heal! In fact, colour therapy has been used in Ayurveda for centuries. Ayurveda – the holistic system of Indian medicine that believes that all aspects of our lives – physical, emotional, and spiritual are interconnected indeed. Moreover, colours are an important part of this system, and can be used to treat a variety of health issues. In this blog post, we will discuss the healing power of colours and how we use them as medicinal herbal agents at Miho as Ayurvastra. A colour therapy session is generally an exposure to different colours, either through light therapy or colour baths. Light therapy involves using coloured lights to stimulate the body’s energy centres whereas colour baths involve soaking in a tub of water that has been infused with colour. Mere being surrounded by a colour can leave immense impact on one’s state of mind and hormone production.   Colour therapy can be used to treat a variety of issues, including Anxiety, Depression, Insomnia, Pain, Stress and much more – and the best part – correct treatment can never have any side effect.   There are a few different ways that you can use color therapy in Ayurveda. One way is to wear clothing that is the color of the chakra you want to balance. For example, if you are trying to balance your root chakra, you would wear red clothing.      Another way to use color therapy is to surround yourself with the color you want to balance. This can be done by hanging paintings or using colored candles. You can also drink water that has been infused with color. For example, if you want to balance your heart chakra, you would drink green water. Ayurvastra uses herbs for their medicinal qualities and colour – both to promote health and well being. This is the best way to stay natural and toxin free – for both the wearer and nature. The color and herbs used to get the hue will depend on the issue you are trying to treat. Here are some general examples: – Blue: anxiety, depression, insomnia, stress – Green: anxiety, depression, heart issues, stress – Indigo: headaches, eye problems, mental clarity – Orange: digestion issues, joint pain, skin problems – Red: circulation issues, low energy, sexual dysfunction – Violet: headaches, mental clarity, spiritual connection – Yellow: digestive issues, mental clarity, skin problems     In Ayurveda, there are three doshas or mind-body types, namely Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Each of these mind-body types is dominated by two elements, and therefore has its own strengths and weaknesses. Colors, also having their own properties, can be used to promote the strengths and tackle the specific weaknesses that each dosha has. In short, they bring balance in the doshas.   We are all attracted to or put off by certain colors. And often, our favourite colors change as our lives go by.   Well, this has a lot to do with the elements that make us up – fire, wind, water, ether, and air – each of which can be increased or decreased by color. We may not realise it, but we are always seeking some kind of comfort and balance from the colors we surround ourselves with. Even visualising certain colors can help you evoke specific qualities and feelings.     Colors And The Doshas 1. Color Therapy For Vata Ether and air govern Vata. It is cold, fast-moving, irregular, and light-weight. Folks with Vata dosha suffer from bouts of fatigue, nervousness, constipation, and coldness in the body. They easily feel ungrounded and weak. What To Favour: Pastel, warm, neutral, and earthy shades are healing colors for Vata. Green, brown, rust, earthy red, white, beige, warm pink, purple, and golden are best. Favour natural colors that calm and ground your mind. What To Avoid: Bright and stimulating colors like fiery red or neons Avoid cooling colors since they aggravate Vata. 2. Healing Colors For Pitta Although Pitta is governed by fire as well as water, its prime qualities are hot – burning hot. Pitta properties are penetrating, sharp, light, and oily. Pitta folks suffer from excess heat, acidity, agitation, and related bodily ailments like inflammation and burning. What To Favour: Soft and cool colors work well to balance Pitta. Favour white, blue, silver, green, cool maroon, indigo, cool pink, beige, and purple. Colors that make you feel cool, relaxed, and harmonised are good. What To Avoid: Heaty and vibrant colors like red and orange are Pitta-aggravating. Avoid neon colors too, since they can agitate the mind. 3. Color Treatment For Kapha Earth and water dominate Kapha. Of all the doshas, Kapha is the calmest – its qualities are cold, stable, slow, heavy, and soft. Kapha folks easily become lazy, overweight, depressed, and lack energy. They need stimulation and warmth. What To Favour: Vibrant, warm, and strong colors are excellent for Kapha. Bright red, orange, yellow, gold, neons, bright purple, and emrald green work well. Choose shades that uplift your body, mind, and soul. What To Avoid: Stay away from greys and black. Cool and pastel shades are too sedating for you   You never know what you’ll notice when you open up and allow yourself to interact with the environment around you more.   Feeling depressed? – Try a brighter color such as red. Extra irritated or angry? Try cooling down with calming blue tones. Feeling sluggish, dull, or lethargic? – Incorporate more sattvic and rajas colors such as whites or warming colors. Over stimulated lately? Try decreasing stimulation and increase sattvic whites, blues, greens.   As always, there’s no right or wrongs. These are just principles to use as guidelines on your journey towards balance and healing.   We at Miho, use this innate quality of colors deriving them from mediated herbs - nature, combining both the sciences and the art of hand dyeing as Ayurvastra. Each colour group is derived from a dedicated herbal concussion benefitting from its medicinal qualities and colour - both.   KNOW YOUR COLOURS FROM MIHO BETTER We observed and researched common everyday issues faced by infants today. The increase in pollution, toxins in general lifestyle, the distance from nature, use of processed food, hectic stressful lifestyles and their sensitivity leads to 5 groups of wellness issues on a day to day basis hampering their healthy growth and development.Recognition of these helped us understand and curate five broad categories with herbs and colours in sink to promote everyday wellness. Here is a brief about those categories:   1. Issues in Long Deep Sleep: Herbs like Neem, Madan, Manjishtha, Schisandra, Hibiscus, Henna, Aswagandha etc. in this concussion release warm tones from Rich Lavender to Deep Red and Browns which are considered positive for sleep. These herbs help calm muscles and regulate blood pressure to ensure that the baby sleeps sound. The colour shades from here an represent stability, wealth and royalty.     2. Dry Skin Issues and Allergies: Indigo, Amla, Tulsi, Neem, Dasapushpam, Energy Leaves, Sandalwood, Chakavad in this balanced concussion for Skin Diseases releases hues of Blue which symbolizes beautiful oceans and sky. Chakramarda or Chakavad is probably the underdog among the medicinal herbs. This concussion prevents skin allergies and dryness which can lead to long term skin problems like Eczema. Children who are prone to tantrums and other behavioral problems may benefit from spending time in and around blue as it calms the mind and body, lowering blood pressure, heart rate, and respiration and decreasing aggression.     3. Immunity and Sensitivity: This yellow concussion derived from Haldi, Neem, Amla, Aloe Vera, Jasmine, Triphala and Ashwagandha has shown to help baby improve immunity. It also prevents germ build up and itches. Yellow is a happy colour and it also increases metabolism. Soft, subtle yellows promote concentration while brighter shades can stimulate memory. The cheerful colour elevates curiosity in kids improving understanding of surrounding - keeping the baby in good mood.     4. Fatigue, Lack of Activity and Alertness: Herbs including Henna, Lotus, Aswagandha, Amla, Tulsi, Neem, Onion, Pomegranate and more release tones of Orange. The herbs and colour enables the child to stay active, explore, and stay energized which is beneficial for growth and development. Orange has a distinctly social nature, inspiring interpersonal communication.     4. Anxiety, Stress, Hyperactivity, Inability to Focus: Sandalwood, Lotus, Neem, Triphala, Desapushpam, Devdaru also known as "The King of Woods" and "Himalayan Cedar" make a colourless concussion which gives the natural colour of fibres in our case - generally white. Sometimes, Jaggery and Iron are added to it making the colour deep and dark - almost black. Many parents worry that black and other dark colors have negative effects on kids, but that’s not always the case. Black can relieve stress and create a sense of balance for kids. If children use a lot of black when coloring, it could be their way of releasing their negative thoughts and emotions onto the paper. Whereas, White provides a stimulus void, inspiring rest and relief which are equally important.   No amount of information, discussion can ever be enough as this topic of research seeps deeper as we go. Continuous research still builds up new conversations. Though, its great that there is a start and we will keep doing more and learning more - ensuring the next generations live better and do better!

Natural Wood Teethers and Toys for Kids - SAY NO TO MICROPLASTICS!!

on Jun 29 2023
Wooden toys have made a comeback in a big way as they are better than plastic ones for the environment and your child’s safety. Wooden toys are well-made on the whole, rarely come with pieces that could easily be broken by a child and even adults would find them difficult to break. This means that on the whole, they’re a much safer go-to for a child’s toy, especially if the little one is under the age of five years. By purchasing a wooden toy that’s sustainably made, you’re playing a small part in reducing the amount of plastic waste. So why not reduce, reuse and recycle? Wooden toys are a great way to do your bit for the environment, without even having to do much at all. Many wooden toys can be bought second hand and sanitized, so you’re reusing materials, and then when the toy has had its day - often a few generations down the line - they can be recycled easily as they’re made from natural materials.  Plastic toys, even if they’re made from durable material, have the potential to shatter or if they have a mechanical element, to malfunction - just have a look at all the toys from the 90s that never made it! Whereas wooden toys can withstand children’s energetic playing, however it happens, as they’re quite simply made from stronger materials.     Much like how wooden toys can help children develop their educational skills, they can also help them to fire up their creative thinking and playing habits. Whether it’s a wooden horse and they’re imagining galloping through the forest, aka the back garden, or they’re playing architect extraordinaire with a range of colorful building blocks, simple wooden toys help to fire up kids’ imagination and get them thinking outside the box. Even just stacking blocks one on top of the other can help children to develop their motor skills as they begin to find out how gravity and other forces work against them. This is especially great for children that have just turned one and over. Although you may find some plastic toys to be cheap, they often don’t last long. Wooden toys are relatively cheap compared to more complicated alternatives, and the product you’ll receive is good value because they’re hard wearing – even with the handling that some babies will put them through – meaning that their value is increased over the long lifetime of the product. Playing with plastic toys that light up, talk or play music can entertain your child while you are busy. But these types of toys may not help in their development. Children need to be curious and interact with real things. Children develop their brains by interacting with and exploring objects around them. The combination of a few chemicals found in PVC plastics is what makes plastic toys dangerous for kids and babies. The biggest health risk with these toxins is that they can leach out from the product, especially when babies put the toys in their mouths. Even worse, there are items in the market like teething rings, bath toys, and squeeze toys made using toxic chemicals. Some of the toxic additives used in plastic toys are: Phthalates Phthalates are commonly used in plastic toys to give a soft and squishy feel. These chemicals are endocrine disruptors and can cause an imbalance in hormones. Phthalates not only upset the body’s hormonal balance, but they are also known to stimulate the growth of cancers. Cadmium Cadmium is another common chemical found in plastic toys. It is used as a plastic stabilizer which is said to affect normal brain growth and can cause kidney damage. Lead Lead is used in plastic toys to make it more durable. It is also sometimes used in paint solutions. Lead is known to affect the nervous system and has been linked to hearing loss, decreased IQ and ADHD. Many Chinese toy products have been known to contain lead. If the toy is exposed to high heat, the lead may leach out in the form of dust, which may then be inhaled or ingested by your child. BPA (Bisphenol A) BPA (Bisphenol A) is found in plastic toys, sippy cups, plastic bottles, and canned food lining. BPA is considered more of a danger when children put plastic products in their mouths, so the main concern with BPA has been on food and drink products. If your child is continuously chewing on toys, it is best to avoid plastic toys for that stage.   Researchers with NYU Grossman School of Medicine found that some 1-year-olds have up to 20 times more microplastics in their bodies than adults. Furthermore, some of the newborns' stool also contained microplastics.   “If you really look at a 1-year-old baby’s lifestyle, they use lots of plastic materials, such as toys. They put everything in their mouths. Toys are one of the most important sources of microplastic exposure," explains Kurunthachalam Kannan, PhD, a professor in the department of pediatrics at NYU Grossman School of Medicine.   Toys, however, are not the only form of microplastic exposure. The small plastic pieces, which can be about the size of a teaspoon, are found in everything from clothing to furniture and vehicle tires to shampoo bottles.   Protecting Little Ones It can take a lot of time and expense to purchase items that can minimize kids' exposure to plastics. "The most important thing you can do is try to limit how much plastic you bring into your home. That’s a tall order. It's hard to avoid," Lewis acknowledges. Polyester, nylon, and synthetic fibers contain plastic. Try to wear clothing items that you have that aren't made of plastic, like cotton and linen. Avoid microwaving plastic bowls or cups. The heat can release harmful chemicals from the plastic into your food and drinks. Using microwave-safe porcelain or other microwave-safe materials is a better option. Use containers for food that aren’t made of plastic. Grabbing a glass bowl for your baby's food can help limit exposure to plastics. Ultimately, the risks associated with microplastics make the effort to limit them worth it. “Parents should do whatever they can to reduce exposure of their baby to plastics,” Dr. Kannan concludes.

There's more to think about than simply fashion when it comes to clothing your adorable baby. The comfort, safety, and well-being of your baby depend on the quality of the fabrics used in their clothes. Babies' skin is very fragile and sensitive, thus it is crucial that great care be taken while choosing clothes for them. This article will discuss the significance of buying infant clothes online & infant clothes made from high-quality fabrics and provide advice on what to look for while doing your online shopping. 1.     Babies' Skin Is Extremely Vulnerable: Babies' skin is far more susceptible to irritation, rashes, and allergies than the skin of an adult. Their skin is more sensitive since it is still maturing and hence thinner. Because of this, the textiles they wear may have a major effect on their well-being. The danger of skin irritations may be reduced and your baby's wearing experience improved by selecting a high-quality material. 2.     Organic and all-natural textiles: Natural and organic infant clothes online & infant clothes should be given preference when purchasing newborn apparel. Soft, breathable, and hypoallergenic organic cotton, bamboo, and linen are wonderful options for those with sensitive skin. Since conventional cotton often contains dangerous pesticides and chemicals, organic cotton is a safer alternative for infants. Bamboo cloth is naturally hypoallergenic and has great moisture-wicking characteristics. Light and airy linen is ideal for the warmer months. These organic materials are better for your baby's skin since they let air to circulate, prevent irritation, and provide luxurious softness. 3.     Comfortable temperature control and airflow:   Babies have a hard time keeping their body temperatures stable, so it's crucial to dress them in clothes that allow for air circulation and natural cooling. Organic cotton and bamboo are two examples of naturally breathable textiles that won't trap heat but instead enable air to flow and keep you comfortable. These materials will keep your infant comfortable in both hot and cold conditions. 4.     Gentleness and ease: The comfort of your infant depends on the softness of the cloth. Try to choose infant clothes online & infant clothes that are soft to the touch and won't irritate their skin. Excellent materials will be hypoallergenic, silky in texture, and pleasant to the touch. Think about using brushed cotton or jersey knits, which are made with a particular procedure to provide softness, in your next project. Putting your baby's comfort first can allow them more freedom of movement and a more restful sleep. 5.     Anti-Allergy Qualities: Allergies and skin sensitivities are more common in infants, thus it's important to choose hypoallergenic materials. Choose textiles that don't include any of the irritants or chemicals that might cause an allergic response. Natural hypoallergenic materials like organic cotton and bamboo have been shown to reduce the likelihood of an allergic reaction. To be sure the cloth you're considering has been certified as organic and hypoallergenic, look for labels like GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard). 6.     Longevity and strength: High-quality fabrics are worth the investment since infant apparel gets plenty of use and abuse. High-quality materials can tolerate many washings and rigorous play without losing their shape, color, or shape retention. This is crucial whether you want to pass the clothes on to future siblings or give them to charity. Pick on long-lasting materials and pay close attention to the outfits' structure and sewing. 7.     Quick and Simple Maintenance: Babies are notorious for making a mess, therefore their clothing need to be washed often. When choosing fabrics for newborn apparel, keep care and upkeep in mind. Fabrics that can be washed in a machine and dried without losing their form or softness should be prioritized. The hassle of cleaning up spills and stains may be minimized by purchasing stain-resistant textiles or those coated with natural repellents. 8.     Acceptable Levels of Risk and Authorization: Keep an eye out for safety ratings and seals of approval when buying baby clothes online. Make sure the clothing has been thoroughly checked for any dangerous elements and complies with all applicable safety rules.
